When it comes to advice and inspiration for home decor, we have seen some amazing ideas on Instagram. Our For You Page and feed is perfectly calibrated to show us the most inspiring ideas in home decorating today. One of the creators we recently spoke with, Hollie Zander (@the.rh.effect) has a beautifully curated account with tips and tricks on how to achieve a high-end, elevated space to perfectly reflect our personalities. She showcases thrifted decor, before and after photos, and brilliant reels. One of her most recent ones on how to print quality digital art for a gallery wall caught our attention and led to our collaboration.
We loved her content so much we knew we wanted to collaborate on a post with her! Here's what we asked:
What is worth the splurge and what do you like to save on?
Save- "Pillows and blankets for decor! I have a dog and a cat and I can’t justify spending absurd amounts of money on pieces like that. I know they’ll just be overtaken by the animals."
Splurge - "Quality heirloom pieces. Furniture in general is more of a splurge for me but I would rather spend more on a piece I know is well made, solid and will be timeless!"
If you were given a plain, all white bathroom to decorate, what 3 things would you change about it?
"If I was given a blank canvas bathroom I would add:
- Brass accents (scones, hardware, faucet, ornate mirror etc).
- Dark wood base with a bold marble top for the vanity area.
- Dark paint / dark zellige tile
I LOVE a bold a moody bathroom moment! The combo above is my dream bathroom for sure."
Which of our frames we offer is your favorite?
"I couldn’t pick just one! My top 2 are the Providence Oiled Bronze and the Bellemeade Traditional Cherry. But really, any of the intricate frames - perfect for antique lovers!"
